Mother Dearest

Just a quick shout out to the best mother I could ever ask for! I am so unbelievably blessed to have this woman teach me and love me no matter what. The Saturday night before Mother's Day we went out to the movies and saw Draft Day -- definitely wasn't worth seeing in theaters. It was good but more tv show good than movie good if you know what I'm sayin. -- and then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Tastey tastey. We got a ton of wings with a couple different sauces and I enjoyed having my mother to myself for a few hours. :) I hope to one day be as great as she is.

Laugh of the day

The other day at work we went on break and this is what happened.
Jasie: Jordan, I lost my debit card.  It fell out of my back pocket somewhere between lunch and now."
Me: Shoot. It's not in the classroom and noone turned it into security?
Jasie: Nope and I already checked the bathroom.
Me: Let's retrace your steps one more time.
We went back into the bathroom and she walked into the stall.
Jasie: It's in the toilet.
Me: Haha no it's not.
Jasie: I'm not even kidding you. Come look.
Me: Hahahahahahahahahahah.
Jasie: Ewwww. How do I get it out.
Me: *still laughing and taking a picture*
Jasie: *proceeds to take it out of the toilet, wash it for 5 minutes with soap and water and then put hand sanitizer on it.*

Then yesterday she texted me after work and said, "I lost my badge. What do I do?"  Then also said, "And I already checked the toilet and it's not there."
Hahaha it was seriously so funny. Disgusting. But hilarious. Better her than I. So just a tip, don't keep your debit card in your back pocket!

Acca Awkward

So I had a pretty great ward this last year. Lots of fun people.  We had ward prayer every Sunday night and on the last Sunday of the semester we took this picture.

Cute right? Until you find me. It totes looks like I'm hugging this kid. I maybe talked to him twice the whole year.  I think I had lost my balance and was trying not to fall over and they just happened to capture the picture at that moment. He probably looked at it and was all, why the crap was this girl hugging me. AWKWARD. Hahahaha good thing I'll probably never see him again.

Taco Truck.

One day, before I started working and actually had days off, Connor and I went to lunch. When I asked him where he wanted to go, he said, "Let's go get Tacos!"  So I told him to tell me where to go and we ended up at a legit taco truck. And then we could go into the Mexican store right behind it to sit and eat.. They had a lunch special which was 2 tacos for $1. Well we couldn't not do that. Hahah when we got them we realized why they were so cheap.  They were small. But they were pretty tastey and it's always fun to try something new!

I had no time to watch Dancing with the Stars.

Holy cow. I've had the craziest week of my life. So originally I had planned to come up to Logan for two weeks. Spend time with the fam, rejuvenate after a long semester of school and just have fun.  After that I was going to head back down to Lindon and live with my grandparents for the summer. I was going to take a CNA class that started the 12th and then after that get a job.  So I went to sign up for the class and it was full.  So I looked up the classes they offered in Logan and there was a night one starting on the 5th. Perfect. So I signed up.  Last summer I didn't have any luck finding a job so I thought I should probably get started applying so that once my CNA class was over I'd be able to start working ASAP. I could even start working whenever if I found a day job and still take my class at night.  So I applied to Convergys after my mom telling me she had heard an ad on the radio for them. I got a call the next day for an interview. Say whaaat. So I went in and interviewed and they hired me. I was to start on Tuesday, the 6th. Okay. I can start a new job and class at the same time. I'll be fine.
They're a call center btw. They take calls from comcast customers and help with any problems they have. So this last week I've become quite the pro on comcast products and services. But I still have a ton to learn before I'll be able to help anybody out!

Sunday the 4th I drove down to SLC to see Randi before heading down to Lindon Monday morning to get more of my stuff since I'd be in Logan all summer. We watched Grey's Anatomy and just hung out Sunday night and then Monday morning as I went to leave I saw my car had been broken into.  The passenger window was completely shattered, a sleeping bag I had had in the backseat was hanging out the window and all my stuff was everywhere. I really should have taken a picture but I was just so shocked and kinda stressing out seeing as I started my CNA class that night and still had to get down to Lindon and back in Logan in time to go take a drug test for my new job before then. Turns out the thief had taken my radio and ipod but everything else had been there. Not that I had anything super important but I had borrowed Kyle's Bronco's hat and he would've killed me if it had been stolen. Good thing the person didn't seem to be a fan. Hahah so I called the police and they told me to fill out a report online. I drove down to Lindon where my grandpa had scheduled my 6 month dentist appt. so I could get it done while I was down there.  He's really the best.  I was all upset about my window and he told me he'd take care of it.  He ended up letting me drive his truck back up to Logan later that day and the next day he got the window fixed and on Wednesday he brought it back up to me.  He had even replaced my radio. What a guy, right?!

So the week just continued from there. I started my job. I worked from 7:30-3:00 (meaning I have to wake up at 6am! I haven't had to do that since high school. It was rough) Tuesday-Saturday and had my CNA class from 5:00-10:30 Monday through Friday. It just made for really long days and no down time.  I literally woke up, went to work, came home, changed, packed a dinner, did my homework, went to class, came home and went to bed.  My class ends on the 22nd so then I'll just be working which will feel like I won the lottery but until then I just need to remember how fortunate I am.  I was able to get into a class. I will be able to become a CNA which will help me in the future to get into a nursing program. I was able to find a job that will allow me to save up for my future as well as have money to do fun things on my days off.  Life is crazy. and great. And quite the adventure.
