The Hundred Year Snooze

Kyle and Alex
The weekend before Thanksgiving I was able to see Kyman in his school play! They did the Hundred Year Snooze which is like Sleeping Beauty. I can't remember the name of his role, but his group had a singing part and he had two lines. He also got to carry out the cake when they celebrated the Princesses birthday after everyone woke up which he was excited about. Haha. He was so into it and really gave it his all in his dance moves and singing. I could hear his voice out of everyone and it was just awesome. He is the cutest and I am so happy to have him as a brother. Even if he does end up being the smartest child.
Check out that facial hair!

This Sky is On Fire!

Nothing takes my breath away more than the sky. How can someone deny there is a God when there is this much beauty in the world?

Dynamic Duos

I am basically obsessed with Dancing with the Stars. My favorite this season is probably Alfonso Ribiero and Witney Carson but there are so many good stars, it's been a fun season to watch. Last night was Dynamic Duo night and two of my favorites were Alfonso and Witney as Batman and Robin and Sadie and Mark as Adam and Eve.

"Witney, it's time to cha cha!"

Halloween

This month on instagram I did a halloween throwback thursday each week and it was great. It was fun to look through old pictures and see my siblings and I back when we were cute. I obviously had a thing for whiskers / my mom had a thing for halloween facepaint. :)

Grape-licious

My grandpa has the best garden I've ever seen. He seriously has so many talents it just blows me away. One of the great parts of his garden, are the grape vines. They are so cool and I always feel like I'm in a vineyard when I help him pick grapes. He had so many this year so we were able to munch on the deliciousness of the grapes and also I got to help make grape juice! Unfortunately it didn't involve me standing in a huge bin knee high up in grapes and stomping around wearing sweet boots while they all mushed, but we just put them in a juicer. Which is cool to I guess...haha but I was surprised at the huge contrast in color we saw in each different batch. Depending on how many purple grapes vs. green grapes we used. One of the best parts? Getting to have a glass of homemade grape juice every morning with breakfast. It's the bomb.

Ringer!

Living with my grandparents definitely has its perks. One of those is getting to hang out with my grandpa all the time! He has a horseshoe pit in his backyard and the other day he taught me how to play.  I was pretty terrible but I did manage to score this bad boy (yes, I'm the white one)!

South Dakota

Now that I'm growing up I've come to realize that there really isn't any summer break any more. You're either working or in school. So this summer I spent all my time working but luckily I was able to have one last horrah before going back to school. My cousin Nae, aka my bff since the beginning, recently moved to South Dakota. After living 3 minutes away and then moving in with her my senior year, it's been rough not being able to see her every day.  It had been like 14 months since we saw eachother so I decided that had to change. I planned a trip to go up there and every last minute of the 10 hour drive was worth it. We had a fabulous weekend. Nae was an awesome host and I had so much fun. Honestly I would have been content sitting in her house watching Harry Potter and just hanging out with her for 3 days but we did so much more. We made good food, went to Mount Rushmore, Bear Country and Devils Tower.  On our trip to Devil's tower Nae made a detour through Montana so I could get a picture with the state sign. I could go into detail about all the crazy fun we had but I'll just post a bunch of pictures instead. :)

I was kind of really excited.. :)

Back to School!

Nothing makes me feel older than my siblings getting older. I am so happy that I was able to see them off on their first day of school this year. (College rocks beeteedubs, I get out a month earlier than them and go back two weeks later. Holla!) But they were crazy cute. Connor didn't start until the next week and unfortunately I wasn't home to get a picture of him, but I got the youngest three.  I seriously love my siblings more than anything in the world and am so grateful that I got to spend another fabulous 4 months with them. There is no way I can live far away from them when I grow up. I'd miss them way too much!

That Time of Year

With the school year fastly approaching, it was time to go back to school shopping. Actually having a job all summer meant major shopping time! Randi started school earlier than I so once she got back to Salt Lake I went down to visit. The first day I was down we went to Lehi and went to the outlets there. We hit so many stores and I felt like someone on tv with bags up and down my arms. I may or may not have tried to buy at least one thing in each store so I could have a bag...haha it was fun though. That night we went to one of her back to school activities which was a movie on the green. It was a beautiful night and we watched The Amazing Spiderman 2. I absolutely love Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone and it was just awesome.

The next day we went to fashion place and I was kind of shopped out from the day before but I got a few things and did a lot of window shopping. It was fun to just have some good old girl time with Randi before going back to school. We only live 30 minutes away during the school year but we both get so busy it's not too often that we get together. It's nice having her so close though and I'm so thankful that I get to see her as much as I do!

Bree's Wedding!

My friends Kyle and Bree got married yesterday!! It was so fun to be able to go down to Salt Lake and spend the day celebrating their special day.  They are so cute together and I couldn't be happier for them. They definitely made last winter semester so much fun and I'm excited to see what else life has in store for them. :)

Between the luncheon and reception I had a few hours to spare and nothing to do so I went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy at Jordan Commons.  That place is so cool. The theaters are huge, the seats are super comfy and it has a great name! :) I didn't know what to expect seeing as I just chose that movie because it was the first one starting when I got there but I liked it! I guess I should just know by now that any Marvel is basically awesome.  It was funny and main guy is pretty dang good looking. Haha I'm excited to see the next one!

So You Think You Can Dance?

I really love Dancing with the Stars. After talking to one of my cousins about it she said, "You should really watch SYTYCD, a lot of the pros come from there and it's really cool."  I started watching during the top 20 of this season I love it! All I want in life is to be able to dance and I just love watching all the cool things that these choreographers and dancers do! This dance last night was one of the coolest ones I've seen. It's just so much fun! And that leg wave Valerie does? Freakin' sweet!

Let Freedom Ring

MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY. That's what the 4th of July is.  It basically consists of everything I love. America, BBQs, Fireworks. Boom. What else does one need in life??  This year we watched the city fireworks with our cousins on the 3rd. (Yeah, the third. Logan is weird.) And then on the 4th we went down to Salt Lake and stayed in Little America.  It was basically heaven. We went out to eat the Old Spaghetti Factory, went swimming, hung out in the hotel room, went swimming some more, just laid by the pool and just relaxed.  Seriously those two days consisted of swimming or laying by the pool or just hanging out in the hotel room. I seriously wish I could live in a hotel. It was nice to have nothing to worry about. No schedule. Just the sunshine and the family. Then once 10:00pm hit we stepped on the balcony of our room and were able to watch fireworks go off all over the city. PERFECTION.

Silly Connor and a moose.

Kyman is in there somewhere
