My grandparents live about 15 minutes away and it's about the best thing ever. I love going over for Sunday dinner and just getting to see them a lot more often. This week my aunt and cousin were in town from Texas so on Saturday night we, along with my two other aunts who live in Draper, went bowling at the Wilkinson Center. It was a lot of fun. My grandparents hadn't been since my family lived in Utah years ago. My grandpa used to be on a bowling team in college though so he used to be pretty good. After a few more times going and getting used to it again, he'll definitely kick my butt. He has his own ball and shoes and everything. All I want in life is my own bowling ball. My bowling classes seem to have paid off because I won both games we played. The first time I got 156 and the second 159. One day I'll bowl a 200. Afterwards, we went to my grandparents house and had soup and pie. One of their good friends made the most wonderful lemon pie. It was incredible.
Mmm! Obviously I couldn't even wait to take a bite till I after I took a picture.
Tonight I went over for Sunday dinner. I hung out with my little cousin who colored me a picture of a princess. She colored it all orange since it's my favorite color. She also called me her best friend. So there's that. After dinner we played Mexican Train. It's a game with dominoes. It's super fun. I somehow managed to come in first in that one too. It's just my weekend to be a winner I guess. :)

My adorable cousin out on the deck. |
Also, check out this sunset. It was a beautiful day, giving me hope that spring is coming soon. Cross your fingers!! My grandparents have the best view from their back deck. This only lasted a few minutes before it was turning pink and then soon was gone. It always reminds me of the poem that Ponyboy quotes in The Outsiders.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay
-Robert Frost
