π day!

3.14.15

Pi = 3.1415926535...

I love pi day. I'm not really sure why besides the fact that I really like math and pie. Seeing as this year was ultimate pi day, I couldn't not celebrate.  Milly and I went to Village Inn and had some of their ever delicious pies.  Milly mentioned that I should have gone all out with pot pie and shepards pie and some kind of breakfast pie, but I was a slacker and didn't put in that much effort or planning. Next year though!!

Crème brûlée Fail.

The other night Milly and I decided to have a dessert break. I can't remember if we were actually studying or not, we go back and forth between the two haha but either way, we needed dessert.  We contemplated a bunch of places and finally decided on Zupa's because we had seen their fancy looking Creme Brulee desserts. We arrived and bought two different kinds, and seeing as we have never had actual Creme Brulee,we didn't know what to expect. This however, was not creme brulee.  It was basically just thick pudding. But it looked fancy. And now we know better for next time.

Valentines Tradition Year 3

Randi and I have a tradition since coming to college where we get dressed up and go to Benihana. It is absolutely delicous and I look forward to it each year. Randi is working as a nanny right now and she was supposed to nanny Valentines day night and we were so bummed. Fortunately (unfortunately for them) the family got sick so they cancelled and Randi and I were able to go for the 3rd year. They cook the food right in front of you and basically from the time they bring you the soup and salad you don't stop eating until you've finished your icecream. They seriously have the best chicken fried rice. I could eat it all day every day. SO GOOD! And it's just always fun to enjoy a night out with Rand where we're not worrying about homework or school and can just spend hours catching up.

Home ❤

This last weekend I went home to Logan and it was awesome. My dad is moving to Gillette for work and for now the family is staying in Logan to at least finish up the school year. So it was a little bittersweet but a weekend at home is always fun. I played cribbage with dad, watched the Avs, went to breakfast with Mom and Dad on Saturday morning, watched Connor and Max play church ball, and just hang out.  It was awesome. Logan High School also had their Sweethearts dance so I got to see Max get all dressed up and go out with his friends. So weird that he's already a sophomore. I am seriously so blessed with the family I have and am reminded of it daily.

The Partying Life

Milly gave me the cutest present for my 21st -- a variety of alcohol. Hahaha I got some light BEER, shot glasses, natural spring VODKA and some lime slices. It was so creative and it sure helped get the party started :)

21 years blessed!

Like most people, I am a HUGE fan of my birthday. It is a day that is basically all about me. But let's be real. It's more like a whole week of celbration.  I started out by spending a fun weekend with Randi (see last post) what I forgot to show was this awesome 21 glass she got me.  Sunday the Broncos lost and it was sad, Monday was just school... but then on Tuesday the real fun began.  I woke up at 5:04 am since that's what time I was born but only long enough to think, "I'm 21. Sweet!" before I fell back asleep.  That's what college does to ya. Haha later I woke up to a few text messages wishing me a happy birthday. BEST WAY TO WAKE UP EVER! I love feeling loved. Haha Throughout the day I continued to receive texts and Facebook posts. I even got a cookie from a friend in class which was such a wonderful surprise. Later my grandparents took me out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  My Aunt Colleen and Milly came and it was great. Great food, great people, great reason to celebrate :) I am pretty sure however that my grandpa only chose to take me there as payback for the one time we went on his birthday and made him sit on the saddle. He was ready with his cowboy hat and everything for me. It was such a great end to such a wonderful day. Crazy to think  I am now 21. I still think its 2012 and I'm 18. One of these days I'm sure it will sink in.

Wine glass from Randi :)

On Wednesday I came home to this awesome surprise. My grandparents cute friend Irene made this for me. It's chocolate cake with chocolate chips with chocolate frosting. Talk about heaven. I was so touched that she did this for me. It was so sweet!

On Thursday I came home to my grandpa telling me I had mail. (basically my favorite thing to hear ever!) The envelope was addressed to Jordan Eickbush 'The Basement' with a return address of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  I've been waiting since my 11th birthday to receive a letter from them and it finally came but with an unexpected twist. The secret recipe to their famous Butterbeer. Now that I am 21 and all.  I seriously love Minerva. *cough JaNae cough* :)

I also received this awesome gift. Joe Billy (Alex) is one of Kyle's friends and has a thing for making flipagram videos. This one is filled with a bunch of old pictures I'm tagged in so it was fun to do a little flashback as well.  My favorite part is the message though.  "You're kinda cool happy bday"  GUYS! I'm KINDA cool. Finally, someone realizes my true coolness :)

It was fun to discover the random places that wished me a happy birthday. One of my favorites was Snapchat. Instead of boxes, whenever I got a new snap, their was a little present by it. So so fun!

Facebook's happy birthday banner - they even had fireworks
Wells Fargo birthday wish!

Learning Suite's birthday banner.

On Friday I got to go to dinner with some friends. Erica, Mari and Laurel. We went to The Old Spaghetti Factory which is an all time favorite of mine and it was so fun to just eat and catch up. I even got a birthday balloon crow!n Unfortunately no pictures :(

Never Stop the Party

My first week of school was basically awful.  I started on Monday and then woke up on Tuesday morning sick as can be.  I spent all day barfing and had to miss my first day of those classes.  So after that whole stress and just the awfulness of barfing, I was ready for a fun weekend.  On Thursday night I hung out with Milly. We got take-out Thai (I mean, what's metter than massaman curry?), watched Friends, and got Mint Chocolate Chip ice-cream. It was the perfect night of relaxing and good fun.

On Friday I went up to SLC to hang out with Randi. We spent the day jamming and making homemade eclairs.  On Saturday we went up to Park City. One of Randi's friends has a house up in Deer Valley and it was absolutely beautiful.  We went and watched the World Cup Mogul finals which was crazy.  I was just amazed as I watched the athletes make their way down the huge slope.  The speed at which they go is absolutely amazing.  It snowed
lightly the whole time and was just absolutely perfect. After the finals, it started snowing harder and they did fireworks and it was basically just everything I love in life.
